Families use the Translation and Interpretation Services department to gather information about their student from the school district, however I came to learn that Limited English Proficiency guardians were not sure when or why they should call the language line. The previous collatoral said 'Call us, we're here to help' and although the intention is 'call us about anything', the audience was wary of what justifies a call.
When I rebranded the Translation and Interpretation Services collatoral I recommended a simple list of the kinds of things parents can call about. The design also chose culturally-appropriate colors for each language and students from that community.
